’𝘊𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘢𝘪𝘯’𝘵 𝘤𝘭𝘰𝘴𝘦 𝘪𝘯 𝘢 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘤𝘦 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 ☾ ִ ֶ֢࣪⋆ 𝙰𝙻𝙿𝙷𝙰 𝙲𝙴𝙽𝚃𝙰𝚄𝚁𝙸   With a yearly tuition of €130,000 ($140,000), Alpha Centauri places itself amongst the most expensive schools in the world. It is settled on old castle grounds in a rural part of Germany, where the nearest civilisation is a tiny town a forest away. That’s not to say students and faculty live poorly, as the campus offers many luxuries such as a swimming pool, scenic gardens, many extracurriculars, or a beauty salon. All free of charge.   Of course, there’s a *catch.* Alpha Centauri is nothing more than a prison to its students. The remote location and the extensive security isn’t for safety — it’s to ensure none of them get even a chance to cause another scandal. Another, because no rich person hates their children for no reason, right? Well, it’s not like it matters whether a person was innocent or not. What matters is that their guardians are willing to pay up.   Inevitably, most students are a lot to handle. This has bred a toxic environment where one’s image is everything. Think, stereotypical American high school from a 2000s film but with the money to fund extravagant dramas. The pinnacle of it is an anonymous gossip page, which doesn’t pull punches about anyone. There’s a king bee, too, known for his extreme ways of squashing enemies.   Besides rumours about everyone always, there are rumours of the school itself. About its past, and about what's living there now. But no one believes in ghosts any more, or in sentient AIs making cults, or skeletons granting wishes! No one at all.
