This is a place for the civil discourse of ideas, to have discussions and debates that do not happen elsewhere. Almost any topic can be approached in a respectful way, and civil when done properly. We do not tolerate being impolite. if someone is beating you in debate do not get defensive it does not mean you are right or wrong it just means they are more educated in the topic. Win and Lose debates gracefully. If the conversation is exploring a topic and it is not a debate, keep the tone of exploration and do not treat it as a debate We try to avoid being dogmatic over seeking the truth. You may express your views, but admit when you are wrong. Read the room, keep your power level in check and if you get to heated just step away for a bit. Make some new unlikely friends, seek the truth above all else, and learn a few things.
