The Rookery

🦇The Rookery is a community server intended as a haven for the goth, the gothic, and the otherwise dark and creepily inclined, to talk, support each other, and share music and interests. We are run by a murder of gay and neurodiverse bats and goth moths, and have made this community with the intent of creating a safe space for gothics from all backgrounds and experiences. Goth has its history as a genre of music and as a subculture, and although centered around that subculture, This community does not condone elitism and gatekeeping. All that enjoy goth or goth adjacent – gothic– music and subculture are therefore welcome, as long as they treat others with the respect they deserve. Babybats and critters curious about the gothic subculture should not be concerned about joining. ❗TRIGGER WARNING: Goth(ic) subcultures take an interest in the dark, transgressive and macabre. Things that others might find disturbing are integral parts of gothic music, art and fashion. As a member of this community you must therefore expect some degree of exposure to uncanny, creepy, and uncomfortable imagery and topics.
