Ask one-hundred people how they think the world came to be, and you’ll probably receive one-hundred different answers. A priest from the Church of the Divine will say that our planet was once a thriving chalice of piety, charity, and harmony, only to be cruelly ripped apart by a demon who wanted it all for himself. On the other hand, a fisherman from Stonehaven will likely speak of the legendary Mantle Krait that was said to have devoured its way through the planet’s crust, only for it to be crushed under the weight of the rock it had eaten. Neither are truly wrong, but reality is sometimes far simpler than what it is made out to be in fairy tales and story books. Crucially, both of these stories have one thing in common. The greed and jealousy of the demon. The insatiable appetite of the Mantle Krait.
