Freaks of nature

Danger is around every corner with cruel creatures engulfed with greed, which surprisingly is not the humans this time around. It's survival of the fittest in this world as there are not many safe havens for humans left. However, in a totally original event members of the human race would be changed forever when a meteor crashes into the earth, covering the entire planet with a mysterious gas that morphs the genetics of a few (in)lucky individuals that grants them powers only seen before in comics. With these powers emerges a human who may be the savior of the human race, unfortunately this badass is not you. In fact, you're just some regular ass person whose whole life about to be changed. No pressure.
